Year of The Bro

Hey Bro! Here is our look back at all the shows we played in 2025 we hope you enjoy.

January 25'

January 11th was our first show in our hometown Plymouth with Myiasis, Third Party and Summers in Autumn. Safe to say this show was complete buns for us but was great for the rest. We had 3 songs that we haven't played since and, if I'm not wrong, 2 songs that we made the day before and had no lyrics for. I will say the snowy atmosphere and playing with friends felt pretty cozy.

After writing this I realized I forgot to mention the secret set, Toboggin Fiasco, another Plymouth band who also switched up into Asphyxia half way through.

Omen Skate Shop!

On the 26th of January we got invited to play at omen skate shop in Newport (Shoutout Cheyne). This show was my personal favorite because of the connections we made. We played with Ziplock, Pageant, and Told Not to Worry. Doing any kind of scene media was solely inspired by IAlwaysFalluptheStairs and here I was being invited to a show put together by Alix himself. It was this show where we met and interviewed Jane from TNTW. We also met photographer Frank Littlefield who shot us on his FujiFilm camera.

Louis Family Restaurant (RIP)

March gave us 2 shows (when I should have been locking in for college). The first show was a Plymouth VFW show, nothing too crazy, but its worth mentioning When The Time Comes who drove all the way from Pittsfield, MA. We also played with Posthumous, a Grindcore band with some of the members of the now defunct Myiasis.
On the 21st we played one of my favorite shows ever at Louis Family Restaurant. I'm pretty sure this was the last show ever in that place. We played with Baby's Breath, Long Forgotten, Dying in Vain, and just temporary. The original lineup was something different and last minute someone recommended us Baby's Breath to fill in a spot. I could talk for hours about this show. It was one of those 'you had to be there' shows that you remember for a lifetime. @Myusernamef*ckingsucks also photographed this show!

The Grip

On may 14th we played in Fall River on a dreadful Wednesday. We played with Dinos, HTPLUS, and Charlie Lomonaco. The show was at a vintage clothes store called The Grip, who we knew from Stephanie who was at our first show. The other bands on this show were great. This was Hey Bros worst performance sadly and everything that could go wrong went wrong. I aslo spent probably half an hour looking for my lost keys after the show.

The Casino

On june 28th we played at the Narragansett casino put together by our friend Chris from Third Party. We played with some returning bands like Baby's Breath and Long Forgotten. For the first time we played with Plant a Bug Grow a Flower. There is an awesome video on our youtube of this show with interviews of some of the bands. This was also our first show with our bassist Tyler. If my memory is right there was about 100 people packed into that place.

The Youth Center

Maybe the most legendary show of Plymouth history. Somehow, XMassHolesX managed to book the Manomet youth center, a place where as a kid I frequently played with legos and watched my brothers play basketball. We played with our brother band Asphyxia, PABGAF, Project No Sleep, and the elusive XHorse9000. Did I mention this show was at 1:45 in the afternoon? Lots of our highschool friends were there so it felt like one big hang out. Aiden from DongleBanquet filmed this set and said it was one of his favorites.

The Great Boston Exodus

Towards the end of the summer we played 3 shows in Boston. The first show was (a mess) with God if You're Real, The Xbox Generations, Long Forgotten, and Third Party. Oak fallen filled in for FatCap who didn't make it. This was one of my favorite performances for me. I also enjoyed that half the crowd was part of Xbox Generations, I am not exaggerating.
In September we played at Arlington VFW with Breakout From Opression, Iodyne, Collete, and When the Time Comes. This was a fun show, our friend Grace from New Zealand was also there. Breakout is going on to play with Shattered Realm this January. A new journalist friend GreaseTrap Media also filmed us.
November we were invited to play at Fat Freddy's, a basement venue run by Liam from No Cavities Recordings (This guy does an insane amount of work, go check him out). We played with Fracture Type, Short Circuit, It's Always Better Late Than Never, and Hyacinth. Despite the brick pillars with nothing but memory foam duct taped to the corners people moshed like it was their last show ever.

Funnybone

Our last show of the year was at Narragansett Casino. Our dear friends Third Party returned as well as Colette and God if You're Real. For a long time we planned on playing a show with Funnybone from the south shore. I remember our guitarist, Noah, way back found them on Spotify and they were instantly a hit with us. Listening to them you wouldn't believe that some of them are in high school. My favorite part about this show was our loyal Kazakh friend Kolya blessing me with taco bell.

Warning! Sentimental Message Ahead!

There is no community I enjoy more than Hardcore. A community of artists of all backgrounds who, from the ground up, have put together a genuine home of love, friendship, and unity. A community of people who stick together and stand up against everything that sucks about the world, whether its raising money for families in Gaza, supporting each other through mutual aid, calling out abuse, or holding each other accountable. We thank everyone who helped out this year, the bands we played with, and the friends we made. Stay creative bros and farewell!

Welcome to the hey bro blog?

What's up

This is our new blog that we encourage you to share. Any news about the band or inside looks will be posted here. Actually I have no idea what we're going to post here yet. JK! This is definitely a new era of hey bro and were figuring things out. Hey bro media has always been more than the band and now that were older an wiser we want to get more serious about the media and more serious about bringing the community closer.

What's Coming?

We are actually (yes actually) making a magazine as we speak. it will be 12 pages of awesomeness written by a team of great people. we will talk more about it in another post. hopefully we can see it release in late November. What's after that? I actually have a few more projects planned but shhhh don't tell anyone.

Bon Voyage!

This is all for todays post. Were all in school and have jobs so posts may come once a week but if you're an avid reader we hope you enjoy this because it will be around for a while. Now go out there be an artist, go to shows, make friends, learn things, and we will see you in the next post!
